Barnsley Sixth Form College has appointed Kelly Rinaldi as Principal to take the reins at the start of a new academic year.
Kelly was previously Assistant Principal at John Leggott Sixth Form College, Scunthorpe, before making the move to head up the outstanding Sixth Form provision at Barnsley College.
In her 17 years at John Leggott, she held a variety of roles including Head of Department, Associate Assistant Principal and, most recently, as a member of the senior leadership team.
She began her teaching career at King Edward VI College in Stourbridge in 2001 before joining Prior Pursglove Sixth Form College in North Yorkshire two years later.
A former A Level Drama, Performing Arts and Musical Theatre teacher, Kelly has over 20 years’ experience of working in sixth form colleges around the country.
Her wealth of experience will provide clear vision, leadership and drive the success of Barnsley Sixth Form College.
Kelly said: “I am delighted to have been appointed Principal of Barnsley Sixth Form College. I will work tirelessly to ensure the young people of Barnsley and the surrounding areas receive the highest quality learning experience here and enjoy their time studying A Levels with us.
“I look forward to meeting those interested in studying A Levels with us at our Open Days in November and January and showing them why Barnsley Sixth Form College is an outstanding place to study.”
