Good afternoon,
We are aware there is a hoax email currently being circulated that appears to have been sent from HM Government asking parents in receipt of free school meals to submit their bank details to ensure they continue to receive support.
The email is cleverly worded and states ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.
This is a scam and not an official communication, please advise parents not to respond and delete immediately.
Children entitled to a free school meal will continue to receive this provision in line with government guidance. Please advise your parents to contact the school direct to determine how to access this entitlement if they are unsure.
