We’re proud to support South Yorkshire Safeguarding Awareness Week, running from Monday 15 to Friday 19 November.
Building on the success of previous Safeguarding Awareness Week’s, Barnsley’s Safeguarding Adults Board and Safeguarding Children’s Partnership will be working with their partners, the emergency services and the voluntary sector.
The week will cover key topics for keeping children and adults safe, including online safety and bullying; self-neglect and hoarding; safe sleep for babies; private fostering and exploitation.
Barnsley’s Safeguarding Adults Board and Safeguarding Children’s Partnership will be raising everyone’s awareness of what safeguarding means and the many issues that can arise. Importantly, they will take this opportunity to signpost people to the organisations which can offer the right type of help and support.
There are many professional and public events to get involved in – find out more and sign-up to the variety of free events by visiting Barnsley Council’s website.
Throughout the week, Barnsley Council will be sharing lots of useful information on different safeguarding issues and sharing ways to report and find support on their Facebook and Twitter accounts. Follow on social media using #SYSAW21.
