As planned industrial action will affect all Stagecoach routes from 1 January 2022, Barnsley College will be running additional temporary coach services for students from Tuesday 4 January – Friday 7 January 2022.
These are privately rented Yorkshire Rose coaches and the services will run on a first come, first served basis from the S71, S72, S73, S74, S75 and S63 postcodes.
Routes for each morning coach service are detailed below.
Students should wait at any public transport bus stop on the routes with their lanyard visible so the coaches can stop and collect them.
Please note, the established free coach services will run as normal.
S71 route
This service departs from Station Road/Outwood in Royston at 9.00am and picks up at the following stops, before dropping off at the Old Mill Lane campus.
This service will depart from the Old Mill Lane campus at 3.50pm.
S72 route
This service departs from Asda in Grimethorpe at 9.15am and picks up at the following stops, before dropping off at the Old Mill Lane campus.
This service will depart from the Old Mill Lane campus at 3.50pm.
S73 route
This service departs from Nanny Marr Road/School Street in Darfield at 9.15am and picks up at the following stops, before dropping off at the Old Mill Lane campus.
This service will depart from the Old Mill Lane campus at 3.50pm.
S74 route
This service departs from Southgate in Hoyland at 9.15am and picks up at the following stops, before dropping off at the Old Mill Lane campus.
This service will depart from the Old Mill Lane campus at 3.50pm.
S75 route
This service departs from Co-op on Blacker Road in Mapplewell at 9.00am and picks up at the following stops, before dropping off at the Old Mill Lane campus.
This service will depart from the Old Mill Lane campus at 3.50pm.
S63 Route
This service departs from the Dearnesman pub at 8.00am and picks up at the following stops, before dropping off at the Old Mill Lane campus.
This service will depart from the Old Mill Lane campus at 5.00pm.
Students should ensure they speak with their personal tutor if they experience difficulties travelling to College.
